WakiliPicha Climate Action's post

🌍Last week, Nairobi, Kenya, recently took center stage as it hosted a historic event - the first-ever Africa Climate Summit (ACS), held from September 4th to 6th. As both an attendee of the summit at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) and a news correspondent for JURIST, I am happy to bring you key insights from the ACS’s final product, the Nairobi Declaration which captures Africa's unwavering commitments to climate action and a powerful call to action for coordinated efforts to combat climate change. 🌱 But there's more. The Youth Declaration, born from a significant Africa Youth Assembly leading up to the summit, shines a spotlight on the aspirations of young people in this inter-generational fight against climate change. All these I have captured in my latest dispatch enclosed herewith: 🔗 [ https://www.jurist.org/news/2023/09/kenya-dispatch-africa-climate-summits-nairobi-declaration-continental-commitment-to-adopt-policies-and-laws-addressing-climate-change/ ]
