Climate warning

A Critical Warning on Wildfires and Climate Change.

As wildfires continue to devastate communities across the West, it is crucial that we confront the realities of the climate crisis with honesty and urgency. Unfortunately, misinformation and misleading claims from public figures, including President-Elect Trump, are obstructing meaningful solutions.

The facts are clear:

1. Reservoirs Are Full: Despite claims to the contrary, Southern California's reservoirs are at or above historical averages, with enough water available for firefighting. The challenge lies in the logistics of delivering that water to firefighters.

2. California's Water System Is Complex: California’s fragmented water systems do not operate in a way that can directly address wildfire suppression needs. Water systems are designed for normal use, not the extraordinary demands of a raging wildfire.

3. Air Support and Climate: Wildfires are becoming more intense and harder to contain due to increasing temperatures and drought, worsened by climate change. Claims that water supply issues are the primary cause of wildfire destruction ignore the broader, urgent need for climate action.

4. Fossil Fuel Companies Are at the Heart of the Problem: Climate change, which fuels these fires, is largely driven by emissions from fossil fuel companies. While taxpayers are left to foot the bill, these companies continue to privatize profits while socializing the devastating costs of climate disasters.

Misleading rhetoric that downplays the role of climate change and the need for serious policy change does nothing but perpetuate this crisis. Now is the time for leadership that prioritizes facts and takes bold action to combat climate change and protect our communities.

In the previous forest fire in California, I had proposed three solutions to the fire departments, the city council and the mayor of Santa Clara (of course, I also sent to some European firefighters). A year later, one of our suggested ideas was implemented. I also presented a solution to the mayor of Los Angeles to solve the water tension in the Glen Canyon Dam. Also, recently I had an article on fire extinguishing in towers and tall buildings and I also sent it to the fire departments of big cities in America, but you did not pay attention and did not respond. Today we are witnessing a huge fire in the forests and the city of Los Angeles. why? History was repeated there and you did not use the suggestions and solutions.

This climate denial and suggestions that climate change is not the primary cause of such catastrophic disasters is sad to see.The incoming administration of DJT must fully take charge of the climate change situation or scenarios as this will make them.

@Kevin The urgency of addressing climate change cannot be overstated, especially given its clear and proven role in exacerbating natural disasters.

Indeed, the situation is alarming. The increasing frequency and intensity of wildfires highlight the urgent need to address climate change comprehensively. Misinformation can hinder effective responses, making it essential for leaders to prioritize factual information and implement policies that mitigate environmental risks and protect communities.
