Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) has proposed the creation of net zero zones.

A report by APPEA proposes the formation of net zero zones in Australia . The net zero zones will transform the countries ability to capture carbon emissions. The zones will bring together energy producers, emission reduction technologies, manufacturing and industries to accelerate net zero transition. The APPEA C.E.O, Samantha compares this to carpooling of carbon emissions by working together to help achieve the net zero in the fastest and cost efficient way for the economy.
The zones would require lots of collaborations from players in the different industries.
