Africa barely contributes 2% to 3% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, yet it bears an unfair share of the burden. High water stress is thought to affect roughly 250 million people in Africa and is predicted to uproot up to 700 million people by 2030, according to The State of the Climate in Africa 2021 report.
