Climate warning

Swedish Pension Fund managed by the State increasing investments in BP

This is totally unbelievable. According to Swedish Business Newspaper Dagens Industri, the Swedish pension fund AP4, managed by the state, has increased their investments in Fossil fuel company BP! BP has announced they are lowering their Climate ambition and then AP4 increases their investments!

I am convinced that millions of Swedish citizens, like me, are not ok that our pension money that we have worked hard to earn are invested in the fossil fuel industry! We want our pension money to be invested in the solutions not in the problems causing Climate change! It’s time to #MoveTheMoney

This move risks undermining public trust in the fund's environmental stewardship. AP4 has a responsibility to align its portfolio with sustainable long-term outcomes. .

Ugh, this is so frustrating. AP4 investing more in BP after they lowered climate goals is a total slap in the face to Swedish citizens.

This is quite discouraging watching some Nations still support fossil fuel despite their impact on the environment

Swedish citizens, who have worked hard for their pensions, deserve better than to see their money fueling the very industries driving climate change.

That’s what neoliberalism do to profit of labor hard working class … feeding extractivism for more profit of the few.
