COP29 16 November - Exponentially Scaling Climate Solutions to Phase Out the Fossil Economy
In international climate negotiations as in corporate climate action, most focus has been on the down curve of reducing emissions. But phasing out the fossil economy also requires a focus on the up curve of climate solutions that replace fossil fuel based solutions. Exponentially scaling these climate solutions is necessary to shift out the fossil economy at the speed required to stay within the 1.5°C temperature limit.
This event showcases companies that produce climate solutions and those that as professional services providers are shifting their client and project portfolios to climate solutions. It also brings in finance and policy experts to discuss the finance models that enable scaling of climate solutions and pinpoints policies that are needed to enable scaling of climate solutions.
