Planting hemp would reverse the effects of CO2 emissions in the air. It has a fast rate of growth, and it can be used for a variety of goods to also stimulate the U.S. economy. It benefits our climate and the economy, and can also be used to create an alternative to plastic. The low cost of hemp makes it the perfect crop, and it has been advocated for by Indigenous activists such as Winona LaDuke. Planting hemp on AU farm lands would promote the use of this crop for sustainability efforts and as the source of many commercial products.
