A green Pride parade: no combustion-powered trailers, only bikes and love 💚🏳️‍🌈

On Saturday 24 June, Paris' Pride parade showed its green colors. The organizers, the Inter-LGBT association, decided to ban trucks and their traditional float at this year's Pride parade for ecological and safety reasons, promoting a "more eco-responsible" approach.

"We can no longer ignore this ecological and societal issue that concerns us all".
They announced earlier in April that they will no longer use combustion-powered lorries and trailers throughout the parade, opting therefore for soft mobility. This acts as a way to decarbonize the event.
Instead of trucks, you could see "rosalies" (quadricycles that can sometimes seat more than 10 people), tuk-tuks, cargo bikes, electric golf carts that pulled a trailer with a DJ on it, brass bands, an electric train, and so on. Pretty cool, right? I really love how people and organizations quickly adapted to this decision and decided to make this Pride parade even more memorable!
