After two days of intense heat, Météo-France issued an orange thunderstorm alert for 15 departments. Storms with thunderous rain and powerful gusts of wind between the center and northeastern regions spread to the Massif Central. Wind speeds in Clermont-Ferrand reached 70 km/h. Some streets were flooded. In addition, the A75 motorway was hit by heavy hail, causing extensive damage to vegetation: broken branches and trees. Torn road signs. Some houses were left without electricity.
