China avoids climate change discussion despite extreme weather
Campaigners are disappointed that a chance to spark domestic public discussion about how the world's top carbon polluter should ameliorate climate change has been lost as a result of China's record heat and epic floods this summer.
Climate changes respects no borders and affects us all and China should actively participate in the discussions for the health of our planet.

Is it that China doesn't know the climate crisis has increased the average global temperature and is leading to more frequent high-temperature extremes?

It's worrying that China isn't talking much about climate change, even when they're facing severe weather problems. We need everyone, including China, to work together and talk about ways to deal with climate change.

@princess_nel_268 All nations should be aiming to strengthen ability to deal with the impacts of climate change and support them in their efforts.

It's inevitable to snob climate action talks and this point when the eventualities of the climate crisis are very eminent

When will governments understand that we now all have to work together or climate mitigation won't work! It can't just be each for their own anymore...
how can they afford to turn a blind eye on the reality

@rukia_ahmed_abdi Their ignorance will yield inevitable disastrous events,as they seem to go to that direction.

It seems the countries that are the largest and with the most embedded historical fossil fuel reliance are ALL inclined to brush acknowledgement of the depth and breadth of the problem “under the rug.” While today’s people are suffering the impacts, if we don’t take SIGNIFICANT ACTION immediately, people in years ahead will be fighting for survival and society will break down! These governments, if they wish to remain, would be well-advised to stop brushing responsibility under the rug and begin treating fossil-fuel and plastics like the plague that they are!

At times I get mesmerized by countries like China that can't consider coming together to curb and address real climatic issues
