Reject worlds largest plastic polluter – Coca-Cola sponsoring COP27

This years COP27 is sponsored by Coca-Cola, a company largely responsible for fossil plastic usage and pollution. The NGO Break Free From Plastic has found Cola-Cola to be the world’s biggest plastic polluter for four years in a row. – The sponsorship undermines the very objective of the event it seeks to sponsor. Coca-Cola produces 120 billion throwaway plastic bottles a year, and 99 percent of plastics are made from fossil fuels, worsening both the plastic and climate crisis, says Environmental activist John Hocevar, Greenpeace USA Oceans Campaign director. UNFCCC should not accept corporate greenwashing sponsorships. Coca-Cola wants to associate their brand with the environmental movement, even thought its one of the primary problem causers.  Read more: https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-63096760.amp

Coca-Cola has tried to hide its pollution in public relations campaigns such as building plastic bottle recycling plants, but not supporting the collection PE. Stop PE! Coke!

It's absurd to that there's a twist in kind this sponsorship and this far efforts to call it off seems futile thus leaving more questions than answers.
