🌋🚨 The powerful Sakurajima volcano had a major eruption on July 20, 2024, on Kyushu Island, Japan! The Japan Meteorological Agency increased the alert to the maximum level, 5️⃣. Enormous rocks were thrown up to 2.5 km away, and an ash cloud rose to 14,000 feet (4,300 meters). Authorities recommended the evacuation of approximately 120 residents. 🌪️🌍
