Obituary to our home Planet Earth. Cop26 world leaders. I am sitting here in the comfort of my study in the developed world, listening to somber but soothing music, generating an atmosphere of contemplation following the events of COP26. Having studied the science of Climate and Weather for over the past three years. It is irrefutable that climate change is all around us, highlighting our present and immediate predicument, climate breakdown, still in its infancy at the moment but already having a devastating affect on our planet and its entire biosphere. COP26 has almost run its course, having had thousands of delegates,negotiators and leaders suposidly representing the world and its population. The worlds population hoped that they would have the answers and be the the saviours of our planet. But the final draft has turned out to be anything but, the planet and its people taking second place, to profit, growth and greed of the wealthy of this world. They are shortsighted, have no intention of changing the status quo and are stuck in the Capitalistic Economy of growth which is literally sucking the life out of our home, PLANET EARTH. The pledges and promises, albeit far too little, to save us and our planet are worth jot, as they are none binding, cannot be enforced and not set it law. The same is happening with the corporates and the rich and greedy as happened with DU Pont, with its Teflon scandal, where they knowingly new the devastating effects of the product, its production and disposal of its waste. But for short term profits of one billion dollars a year, chose to ignored all the scientific advise, the related deaths, illnesses and contamination of land, animals and people. The Fossil fuel industry and governments are doing the same. The science is clear and irrefutable. Even if all the pledges where to be honoured it will be too late and too little to save our planets biosphere in order to allow it to be habitable. The main reason being that the scientists models(the very same to predict future temperatures)work on a linear prediction and cannot predict sudden events or the consequences of the reactions caused as tipping points are breached. Once set in motion they will be beyond our control. Their ignorance and stupidity WILL come and bite them as it will us and future generation in not so distant a future if we do not act now. They are unwilling to inform and educate the populations of the true predicament we are in, so that the worlds population can prepare themselves and possibly change their lifestyles in order to save the only home we have. No the economy must grow, the very same economy that got us in this mess in the first instance. Now was the time to act and take the worlds population on this journey, firstly by telling the truth and then putting all the resourses, finance, technology, ingenuity and effort into the solutions and adaption to restore our planets health and create a better world. We created the present economic model, we can just as easily create a completely new model, that is just, kind to the planet and everything that shares it with us. When we look around, we see a species that is not likely to give up the developed lifestyles that have been created through the industrial revolution, nor are the developing nations going to stop striving for those riches that have and are destroying our home. I genuinely believe we have totally lost our way become disconnected from the natural cycle of life which we are just one component of. We are still stumbling around in the dark. I predict that in the next five years there will be a climate driven catastrophe that will impact tens of millions of people. The gun is already loaded, it has a hairline trigger, just waiting for that ever so light final touch. Then the full impact of the climate breakdown will materialise, to late to point the finger and to late to do anything about it. The Mad Max Film will become a reality. Finally the leaders have once again let us down, it is now time for change, for the people to stand up and be counted. For Parliaments and they're Mp's to function they have to be elected by the system that is presently in place. Every time we vote for a representative or government, as soon as they are elected and in power they exercise their right of presumed consent rather than proportionate representation, for example the oil fields off Scotland or the coal mine in Cumbria. It is time to have a peoples assembly that can have a say and influence any decision that may influence the well-being of the general public or the planet. So here is the rouse, when any elections are due, get up and vote, however don't vote for a party or candidate, put another box on the ballot sheet with a heading of "Peoples Assembly" and put your mark. If enough people do this then it will have the desired effect and send a clear message that its is time for change. The alternative which is unthinkable, is another storming of the Bastille, Washington State building, Coup, it doesn't bear thinking about. Lets come together, UNITE and make the change happen.
