Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has signed power purchase agreements for three new solar photovoltaic projects with total capacity of 5.5 gigawatts (GW)
Saudi Arabia will start annual tenders this year for new renewable energy projects with total capacity of 20 GW, aiming to reach between 100 GW and 130 GW by 2030.
Investing in solar energy is what we all ought to do so as to reduce pollution brought about by fossil fuels.

Reducing oil use in favour of solar power will decrease carbon emissions, enhance energy security, and promote sustainable development. It aligns with global climate goals, diversifies energy sources, and positions Saudi Arabia as a leader in renewable energy transition. Let them also ditch some oil in use in their country.
