It is with great disappointment that we must address the Kenyan government's failure to address the hunger crisis in the country. Despite making commitments to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, including zero hunger, the government has not done enough to ensure that its citizens have access to food, particularly in the ASAL regions.
The current state of affairs is not only frustrating but also dangerous for the people of Kenya, especially those in the affected areas. Hunger is a serious issue that can lead to malnutrition, stunted growth, and death, particularly among the most vulnerable, such as children and the elderly. Hunger also affects education and economic productivity, both of which can have devastating long-term effects on a nation.
It is essential for the Kenyan government to take the issue of hunger seriously and come up with sustainable solutions to the crisis. One of the primary reasons for the persistent hunger crisis in the country is the government's failure to invest in agricultural infrastructure, which would help small-scale farmers increase their crop yields and access markets. The government also needs to prioritize the provision of food aid and nutritional supplements to the most vulnerable groups.
It is not enough to pay lip service to the zero hunger SDG without taking concrete action to address the issue of hunger in the country. The government needs to show its commitment to the SDG by implementing policies and programs that address the root causes of hunger in the country. Failure to do so is a betrayal of the trust and confidence that Kenyans have placed in their government.
In conclusion, hunger is a pressing issue that needs urgent attention from the Kenyan government. It is unacceptable for any Kenyan to go hungry in a country with such vast agricultural potential. The government must take bold steps to ensure that its citizens have access to adequate and nutritious food, particularly in the ASAL regions. We urge the government to prioritize the issue of hunger and take swift action to address it as soon as possible

I agree that the government should take concrete action to address this bull with its horns as already it's in the room.

Really sad, the authorities must pull up their socks. It's really painful that even regions outside the ASALS are in this pain of hunger.
