25/10/2024 – The city of Baltimore, in the United States, filed a lawsuit on June 20 against several plastics companies, claiming that these corporations should bear the costs related to cleaning up plastic pollution present in local streets and water bodies. Among the companies named in the lawsuit are multinationals such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Frito Lay, known for the extensive use of plastic packaging in their products, including soft drinks, snacks and sandwiches.
