For launching a long-haul e-truck

Image of post in post detailed view

MAN Truck & Bus has already launched electric vans and city buses. Now it’s time for a new heavy MAN eTruck to hit the roads, with zero tailpipe emissions. According to the company’s plans, 50 percent of MAN’s new vehicle registrations in the EU will be electric by 2030. For this to happen, MAN and the German Freight Transport and Logistics Association (BGL) are jointly calling for the accelerated expansion of public charging infrastructure. “We have done our homework, our e-truck is starting soon to go on sale. Now we urgently need the support of policymakers and the commitment of the energy industry in order to jointly make a success of the traffic turnaround in road freight transport,” says Dr. Frederik Zohm, Executive Board Member for Research and Development at MAN Truck & Bus SE in a press release. It's great to see MAN expanding their electric vehicle lineup by launching a long-haul e-truck. This move towards zero tailpipe emissions is a positive step towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation industry. I hope other manufacturers follow suit and invest in electric trucks for long-haul journeys.

"the support of policymakers and the commitment of the energy industry in order to jointly make a success of the traffic turnaround in road freight transport" This is a strong point.
