Europe’s conservative bloc calls for dropping ban on car engines

At the end of last year, the EU agreed to ban fossil fuel-powered cars by 2035. Now, the largest conservative block wants this decision to be overturned. It's only been a few months.
It's incredibly harmful with these politicians who act extremely short-sightedly and create great uncertainty about the transition. The damage is already done even if PPP does not get this through, as the signal value is that we cannot rely on long-term rules.
PPP should be ashamed, and I wonder which lobbyists are now cheering?
Everyone who votes for a local conservative politician should raise this issue. I don't think a majority of conservative politicians agree.

The EPP's proposal is a setback for the EU's climate ambitions and presents significant challenges for the automotive industry.

This reversal of the ban on fossil fuel-powered cars is concerning and will hinder long-term efforts to combat climate change. Quick action should be done to control it.

It's disheartening to see the largest conservative block in Europe calling for the overturning of the decision to ban fossil fuel-powered cars by 2035. This short-sighted approach creates uncertainty, disrupts the transition to cleaner energy, and undermines efforts to mitigate climate change.

Short-sighted leaders really don't deserve to be given a chance. The party is a let down though I am sure some are pro climate.

This control of the oil lobby openly playing out in front of us, should be a lead to ban this sort of lobbying from all industries

This is a bad call that is going to hurt our environment in a bad way. Fossil fuels must be phased out completely.

It's disappointing to witness a stance favoring the continuation of car engines, especially when the world is striving for greener alternatives.
