Innovation is necessary and an effective means of E-waste management for the sake of cleaner environment. They say that necessity is the mother of invention. This is best demonstrated by Paul Waweru, a physics teacher from kenya who has innovated the re-use of batteries from damaged laptops. What he is doing is the way to go, particularly in this era where current climatic conditions are becoming a nuisance and good waste management needs to be upheld. Battery materials pose no threat to human health when in use, but when discarded improperly, the devices have dangerous health and environmental consequences, because of the heavy metals they contain.
