KENYA'S PRIME CABINET SECRETARY CHALLENGES EACH KENYAN TO PLANT A TREE DURING MADARAKA DAY.

https://youtu.be/dukseKz4XDo In the spirit of supporting Kenya's President William Samoei Ruto’s directive that aims to achieve a target of planting 15 billion trees by the year 2032, Kenya Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi led Egerton University staff and the locals of Njoro sub county to planting at least 5,000 trees . The Prime CS also challenged each Kenyan to plant a tree as Kenya commemorate 60th anniversary since independence. He says " As we mark the 60th Anniversary since independence, on 1st June 2023, when we mark Madaraka Day, I encourage every Kenyan to at least plant one or two trees for us to hit a 60 million mark on that day." He further urged every Kenyan to at least plant 30 trees per year, which he says it's a great way to hit the Presidents target. If this is actualised it's a great way to fight climate change effects. Trees works magic in reducing green house emissions . #kenya@60 https://youtu.be/dukseKz4XDo

Kenyan leaders have loudly decried the climate crisis through their climate actions and this is a huge statement.

@joseph_githinji I always challenge myself by asking, among all the trees we have planted, how many do we nurture.
