StoreDot signs strategic collaboration with Volvo Cars to develop cells for next generation EVs.

The collaboration between Volvo Cars and StoreDot represents a significant milestone in the development of XFC (extreme fast-charging) cells tailored for Volvo's upcoming electric vehicle platforms. The partnership is on track to produce optimized B-sample cells specifically designed to meet Volvo's stringent requirements, with initial testing of these cells expected to commence next year. Dr. Doron Myersdorf, StoreDot's CEO, emphasized the significance of this partnership for both companies, underlining the swift progress being made. The collaborative teams are diligently working to refine all aspects of the system to align with Volvo's exacting standards. The ultimate goal is to introduce StoreDot's game-changing XFC battery, enabling a remarkable 100 miles of electric range in just five minutes of charging.
StoreDot recently reported performance feedback from the A-sample testing phase, which involved evaluation and integration by 15 prominent global automotive manufacturers from Europe, Asia, and the US. Furthermore, several strategic ecosystem partners participated in these rigorous testing programs. Javier Varela, Chief Operating Officer & Deputy CEO of Volvo, reiterated Volvo's strategic investment in StoreDot and emphasized the advancement represented by this collaboration. Both companies are enthusiastic about the opportunity to develop innovative charging technologies together. While there is still much work ahead, the prospects for these technologies are exceptionally promising, and they eagerly anticipate real-world testing to validate their potential.
