It most certainly has. Globalization has created a world where shipping products between countries has become not only possible, but preferable. I think there's a sustainable globalization where we share values, culture, interests and knowledge between different parts of the world, but keep the production and sale of products as close to each other as possible. There shouldn't be a need to ship products half way across the world when we can use the internet to share knowledge about how to produce the product and build it locally.
