Danske Bank takes significant steps to reduce its investments in fossil fuels

Danske Bank revised its Position Statement on Fossil Fuels and extended it to include its investments. This new policy will cover 70% of total assets, reducing the number of fossil fuel companies in its investments from 1900 to 170.
This is great news but I think this should be more ambitious and stop investing in all fossil fuel companies altogether. This policy states that Danske Bank will only invest in fossil fuel companies that it considers “aligned” or “aligning” towards its Net-Zero Pathway Framework, and I think the bank needs to be clearer on what this alignment means and make sure that it is in line with a 1.5ºC scenario. And this should mean absolutely no investment in companies developing new oil and gas projects. Unfortunately, this isn't the case now...

It's good they're divesting from fossil fuel investments but we'd certainly like to see these numbers go to zero and their investments in renewable energy more than quadruple. They have to show efforts in green energy as well
