As a CSO, I often become the face of the company's activities, and sometimes it feels like I'm expected to be an expert in all areas. Both internally and externally. But that's not the case.
The planet is like a company itself, and to understand your own company's role in the corporation Planet, you need expertise in business knowledge, accounting, laws and regulations, marketing, internal communication – all the competencies a company possesses.
As a small company, it's rarely possible to have access to all this expertise in-house. But then there is the magic word: help. Because there is so much accumulated knowledge on this planet. And there are also so many competent people who want to share their knowledge.
I am so incredibly happy that I dared to ask my Dream Team for a Sustainability Advisory Board – and they said YES! So my best advise to you who feel a bit overwhelmed. Dare to ask too 💚!
