I'm not a beer fan but we like Heineken's project in Spain (and Sweden)

Heineken intends to brew the world's most low-carbon beer 💚
More and more brewery giants are setting new sustainability goals. Now Heineken's Spanish branch joins forces with the fertilizer manufacturer Fertiberia to launch the world's most low-carbon beer.
The idea is to grow malt grain with a low carbon footprint by using fertilizer giant Fertiberia's "green" fertilizer. The company is currently building its first fertilizer factory outside its home country of Spain, on Hertsön in Luleå, where they will use renewable hydrogen in the production instead of the fossil gas that is usually used.
In addition to packaging, agriculture accounts for one of the largest shares of breweries' climate impact, and so does Heineken. When the company has now set the goal of having a carbon dioxide-neutral value chain by 2040, they are therefore targeting cultivation.
According to Heineken, the project, which is named "Green Malt", makes them the first company in the world to brew beer with such low-carbon malt.
Trials are now underway on farms in Andalusia, with the hope that the fertilizer will be able to improve the quality and quantity of the harvest.
"Achieving carbon neutrality throughout our value chain is a huge challenge and to succeed we need committed partners like Fertiberia," says Etienne Strijp, CEO of Heineken España in a statement.
"This project will then be able to be used as best practice within our group."

It's a good thing when Heineken intends to create marshland to naturally purify the waste water from the brewery which will cost less , have ecological benefits, create a pleasant environment, and will provide a store of water in times of drought.
