Urgent: Environmental and Touristic Concerns at Fourteen Falls.

To: The County Government of Kiambu
Recently, I paid a visit to Fourteen falls and I was disappointed by the disgraceful state of the place. From garbage, sewage to a waste mayhem all sponsored by the county government, if you want to be shocked, visit the area in the current state.
I write to express my deep concern about the current state of neglect and environmental degradation at the Fourteen Falls site in Kiambu County. It is disheartening to witness the deterioration of this once pristine natural attraction due to inadequate maintenance and a lack of responsible management.
The neglect of Fourteen Falls, despite charging entry fees to tourists, is not only a disservice to the environment but also a betrayal of the trust of those who visit the site in hopes of experiencing its natural beauty. The absence of proper waste disposal facilities, such as dustbins, has led to a severe littering problem, resulting in trash being scattered throughout the area.
The falls, once a symbol of natural magnificence, have now become tainted by plastic and sewage waste, posing a significant threat to the ecosystem and local wildlife.Furthermore, the state of the bridges that provide access to the falls is alarming. Their deterioration is not only endangering the safety of visitors but also contributing to the erosion of the site's natural surroundings.
The lack of proper infrastructure maintenance undermines the safety of tourists and locals alike. It is deeply troubling to note that the county government is charging a substantial fee for access to Fourteen Falls while failing to uphold its responsibility to maintain the site to acceptable standards. Visitors who pay for the privilege of experiencing this natural wonder are met with a disappointing reality of pollution and neglect.
I implore the county government of Kiambu to take immediate action to address these pressing concerns. It is crucial that efforts be made to clean up the litter and waste that currently mar the beauty of Fourteen Falls.
Additionally, the government should allocate resources to repair and maintain the bridges that provide access to the falls, ensuring the safety of all who visit.I urge the authorities to consider the long-term implications of neglecting such a valuable natural resource.
By taking responsibility for the maintenance and preservation of Fourteen Falls, the county government can contribute to sustainable tourism, safeguarding the environment for future generations to enjoy.
I kindly request that the county government promptly initiate a comprehensive plan to address the environmental and infrastructural issues at Fourteen Falls. Let us work together to restore this natural wonder to its former glory and ensure its continued beauty for years to come.Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Everyone.

Thanks for highlighting this issue,I was there sometimes back and it was terrible, they charge so much at the entrance but sadly the visitors cannot spend more than 5 minutes in there due to the foul smell, and I also wonder how all that garbage ended up being there..it's is supposed to be a historic place for leisure but unfortunately its a health risk🥺🥺
