Bloomberg article on Carbon Offsets to plug Orphaned wells
We are excited that Bloomberg published an article on utilizing the voluntary carbon offset market to fund the permanent closure of abandoned oil and gas wells. The problem is real, it is an immediate need, and can have a significant impact by reducing harmful methane emissions which account for 40% of current global warming. Shutting these wells down can put us on a path to reducing global warming now, without any change to anyone's life style or cost of living.
