The City Park Nursery a project by the county government of Nairobi is now breathing life to Kenya's capital by reviving the city lost glory by growing seedlings now used in greening the city. The City Park nursery is supplying seedlings, shrubs and flowers to other parks and public spaces across the City for beautification and greening the city. The best part of this initiative is that it has created green employment for the youths in Nairobi and beyond. The City Park nursery achieve this by has selling or renting out the plants to the public. Now over the 500,000 trees planted in the financial year 2022/2023 a large number of the seedlings were sourced from this nursery Interestingly the City Park allows the locals to bring their own plants pots to get the plants at a reasonable price.
