This climate warning is directed to Oliver Blume in his role as CEO of the Volkswagen Group (he is also the CEO of Porsche).
Volkswagen CEO is part of the problem, showing no insights or interest in that we are in the middle of a planetary climate crisis and instead promotes technology openess for e.g. e-fuels, requests state guarantees on capped electricity prices.
His own company have announced plans to invest 180 billion euros ($192.6 billion) between 2023 and 2027, however no plans to investments into wind and solar energy to reduce their own energy bills?

VW boss speaks out against combustion engine ban
Volkswagen boss Oliver Blume has spoken out against a ban on internal combustion engines. E-fuels are "an effective solution to potentially run petrol engines almost CO2-neutrally," he told the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" (Saturday edition). Blume spoke out in favor of allowing the sale of new combustion engines to a limited extent even after 2035.
"We should keep the option open for niche applications, smaller manufacturers and small series," he said. "Many politicians support hydrogen and reject e-fuels," said Blume. "That bothers me, e-fuels are hydrogen derivatives."
However, e-fuels behaved more favorably than hydrogen. "Apart from other advantages, they do not have to be cooled or stored under pressure." The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently highlighted the importance of e-fuels for shipping and aviation in its so-called "Synthesis Report". Experts have doubts about the sufficient availability of fuels for car traffic.
The VW boss also called for state-guaranteed low electricity prices for industry. "Large industrial projects require planning security," he said, explaining his concerns. “Europe needs to be competitive in the global market. In North America we can make binding calculations for a battery cell factory for years to come.”
Blume conjured up the danger of emigration if politicians decided to take a different path. "It needs the right industrial framework, otherwise key technologies will migrate to Asia or North America."
