Swedish fashion designer Ellen Hodakova Larsson wins the prestigious LVMH award along with a prize of 400,000 euros! According to Ellen, a lot of people doubted ‘upcycling’ as a business idea, but now she is the first ever Swede to win the internationally prestigious award.
Known as Hodakova, this clothing was launched in 2021 to create a completely sustainable fashion company. The business model involves using old things in a new way and differs from classic recycling, which often breaks down materials into their basic components to create something new.
Ellen has also been named as the designer of the year at the Elle gala in Paris in 2023. This year she won this award by competing with and winning against over 2,000 aspirants who applied from all over the world. Learn more about her journey here:
