The famous Treehotel in Harads, in northern Sweden, has received a local sustainability award for its systematic work with its destination, lodgings as well as local sourcing of food. Since 2010, this exceptional hotel with rooms high up in the trees has strived to integrate its business with the surrounding nature building its rooms in the trees on a mounting side in the forest. A stay at this remote hotel also offers the guests a three course dinner with local specialities. For this, the Treehotel has received the local Boden sustainability award in April 2022.
