Climate warning

82% of board members in the US largest banks have past or present ties with fossil fuel businesses

Climate Change is real and the world already has the solutions at hand to fight it. One thing is still missing though: the level of investment in renewable energy across the world is increasing, but it is not nearly as high as it needs to be. Why aren't the banks investing in what is clearly the right solution both from a business and planet point of view ? The solution seems, sadly, obvious: corruption and conflicts of interest in the world's top banks.
New analysis shows that 82% of board members in the top 6 largest banks in the US have past or present ties with polluting companies, largely oil and coal producers, with Bank of America being the most conflicted.

It is essential for banks to align their investment strategies with the urgent need to mitigate climate change and support sustainable solutions.

This is the case everywhere but that is changing now as transition gains great momentum than before.

If you have £1 million in the bank, due to their massive investment in fossil fuels, you can do more for the environment by moving it to an environmentally friendly bank than dropping your carbon footprint to zero.
