The European Union has aligned on a deal to establish a carbon border tariff system targeting polluting industries such as steel, cement or hydrogen. This deal means that countries and corporations importing certain material made through polluting production processes will have to pay an extra tariff on top of the price of the material, evaluated based on the amount of CO2 generated during the production. The aim of this tariff is to encourage industries to make their processes more environmentally-friendly by making low-polluting material not only better for the environment but also less expensive than the more polluting alternatives. This will help but most importantly we need to stop burning fuel, we have clean, safe, sustainable, renewable, infinite and free for the collection rooftop/parking lot sunshine, wind, geothermal and ocean energy which can also be used to fuel zero exhaust machines and vehicles.

This is a nice move in mitigating climate change but EU should also give subsidies for those conserving the environment

Good idea. The production and consumption of items/materials made through pollution should be made expensive and the alternative cheaper.
