Dangers that plastic poses to wildlife

It only takes one postmortem on a crocodile to realise the damage it has done to animals living in the wild. When plastic is consumed it is not easily digested which will destroy their digestive system.National parks should keep the animals safe and their habitats clean from what could make them loose their lives. When an animal dies in the care of a conservancy or a national park for that matter it shows negligence and should be treated as a red flag. Those that are enclosed should be able to be treated by a veterinary which should be regular check ups. These animals should not die under the care of humans, it is our duty to protect them.

Preventive measures should be taken to make sure that all habitats are clean and safe,we tend to loose animals due to our own actions(pollution)

@george_kariuki If a national park or conservancy cannot take care of their residents(animals), then custody should not be given to them.

Plastic poses significant dangers to wildlife due to its non-biodegradable nature. Animals often mistake plastic waste for food, leading to ingestion and subsequent health issues. Additionally, plastic debris can entangle and suffocate marine creatures, causing injury or death. The pollution caused by plastic also disrupts ecosystems and food chains, further impacting the survival of various species. Urgent action is needed to reduce plastic waste and protect the well-being of wildlife.
