Article by me#kenya#WDHT Ok here goes. If you think the world's climate is changing then you're not alone. Worldwide, the number of people who believe that the Earth is warming has almost quadrupled in the past decade to over one billion people. There are good reasons for this. Climate change is real, it's happening, and it's serious. It's the result of human activities - like the burning of fossil fuels - that have blown greenhouse gases like CO2 into the atmosphere. Although the Earth has been warming for centuries, the rates of warming we see today are unprecedented in human history. The Earth is already far above the temperature thresholds where the worst effects of climate change can begin to occur. And with each degree of warming, the risks grow. So what can we do to solve climate change? There are a lot of different options, but the most important thing is to reduce our carbon emissions. We can do this by making more sustainable choices, like using less energy, driving less, and eating more vegetarian and vegan food. We can also help create clean energy sources. We need to switch to renewables - like solar, wind, and hydro - topower our economies without releasing pollution. And we need to improve energy efficiency so that we use less energy overall. And we can work to improve the climate system itself. For example, by reducing the amount of CO2 we release into the atmosphere, we can help keep the Earth's climate.
