President William Ruto challange the Youth to take stage in the climate change talks

https://youtu.be/JDe9N04SVKI?si=lPVHerfLngItu1lb Speaking during the Africa Youth Climate Assembly (AYCA) in KICC Nairobi a day before Africa Climate kicks of in the same venue, President William Ruto has challange the youth to take centre stage in the engagements about climate change effects. Kenya's President assured the youth that their proposals and declaration made after the three days conference will be adopted in line with the African Union’s Climate Change and Resilient Development Strategy and Action Plan (2022-2032). The President also promised the youth that in the future they will have a centre stage in all Africa Union conferences, lamenting that the youth have been left out or taken just like a by the way in the past. President further showed his commitment arriving in the gathering via an electric vehicle, which was the case with the rest of his entourage. Other delegates who gave their deliberations and a promise to support the youth includes : African Development Bank President – Akinwumi A. Adesina, African Union Youth Envoy – Chido Mpemba and the Cabinet Secretary of The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, Hon. Soipan Tuya, CBS According to Capital news the objective of this Key Objectives of The Africa Youth Climate Assembly include: 1) Amplifying the Voices for youth and children 2) Idea Exchange- fostering exchange of ideas among the youth and the Africa authorities. 3) Showcasing Solutions. 4) Policy Influence:- advocating for better climate policies.
