EU emissions lower than in pandemic!

The first four months of 2023 saw a 13% decrease in Europe's carbon emissions from power plants and industrial operations compared to the same timeframe in 2020. This information, provided by geoanalytics firm Kayrros SAS, highlights a positive trend. Encouragingly, this substantial reduction can be attributed to a combination of increased renewable energy production and high energy prices that have steered demand away from fossil fuels. This shift demonstrates that cleaner, renewable sources of energy are gaining ground, a crucial stride in the battle against climate change.

reduction of our carbon emissions helps reverse the impact of global warming overall and more specifically, benefits the overall air quality.

This is good news @EU because it indicates that there are successful efforts being taken to reduce emissions and potentially combat climate change. We need to continue to prioritize green initiatives to achieve our emissions goals and reduce our environmental impact.
