This video shows 10 actions you can take TODAY to drastically reduce your carbon footprint. This is the most comprehensive, easy to understand, perfect mixture of outrage and optimism I have seen in a while! One of my favourite YouTubers has brought it out the bag yet again! This is an absolute gem that should be shown all around the world. Please send this video to your local school, workplace or anywhere else where you think people would watch it. It is one of the best resources on things you can do TODAY which make a huge diifferent to our individual carbon footprints. Thank you @JustHaveAThink https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRTic6mjCFk

Thanks so much to all you folks who responded positively to this video. I really appreciate your support and I very much hope the video proves to be useful to you in your climate communication. My name is Dave Borlace. I was born in 1969. I have a degree in Technology and a 30-year career in People and Project Management. I now work full time making climate and sustainable technology videos on YouTube, supported by a group of amazing folks at www.patreon.com/justhaveathink The Just Have a Think YouTube channel seeks to understand the issues that face our civilisation in the 21st Century and focuses on the potential solutions that will save as many lives as possible and hopefully bring about a greater level of equality in the world. I try not to make it a debating forum about whether Human-Induced Climate Change is a real phenomenon or not. I think that is a mug's game. And it's not my game. I do try to keep most of my videos light and humorous wherever possible, despite the gravity of the situation, so I hope you get the chance to look at some of the other content at https://www.youtube.com/c/JustHaveaThink / Dave Borlace, Just Have a Think

Who is the chap addressing? His target audience is most certainly not the precariat or now the Eco-Precariat. Being the social class that can least afford to do anything the chap has suggested. Whilst being the very social class requiring the most assistance/attention. "Just Have a Think" should be doing just that, albeit a little more critically...

I'm pleased to see that I already do almost all of his suggestions, where possible. We live in a rented home so we can't add solar panels, much as I'd like to, and I am guilty of leaving things plugged in or on standby rather than unplugging them.

I had no idea plugs consumed electricity even when they're switched off! Just another example of companies putting profit before anything else... Great video though!

I have the same problem re solar panels on rental properties. I guess one thing you could do is to get your electricity from a green provider, which i'm sure you already do. Or there are community energy projects in some towns where the residents all chip in to pay for a small solar farm/roof top array. Can anyone else think of some suggestions?

@connor_lascelles yup, green energy cooperative here :)
