DHL And Sasol Join Hydrogen Firm HH2E On Sustainable Aviation Fuel(SAF) Production In Germany.

DHL, in collaboration with energy company HH2E and South African petrochemicals firm Sasol, has formed a partnership to expand sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in Germany. They aim to establish production facilities for SAFs based on green hydrogen, with an initial target of 200,000 tonnes per year, potentially scaling up to 500,000 tonnes per year. Airbus is also set to join the consortium to use the SAF. This initiative aligns with efforts to meet EU climate targets and was announced during the National Aviation Conference in Hamburg, where the German Chancellor emphasized the importance of SAF production expansion. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/dhl-sasol-join-hydrogen-firm-hh2e-sustainable-jet-fuel-project-2023-09-25/
