Sophie Kieselbach, Senior Implementation Engineer Sustainability at Makersite, is the newest member of the technical committee of the international EPD system. The EPD International AB System is the world’s first and longest operational EPD program, originally founded in 1998 as the Swedish EPD System by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and industry. Currently, +400 organizations from almost 50 countries publish their EPDs via the program.
„Next to other tasks, the committee acts as the PCR review panel for the review and approval of final draft PCRs, proposes a general LCA methodology for declarations, and suggests measures for the further development of technical and LCA-oriented issues within the program’s framework.
