Deforestation is an important topic, as trees affects the health of our planet by converting CO2 into oxygen. But their numbers are decreasing, for example because of urbanization.
And yet, trees are also important in cities, as they have many advantages such as allowing us to connect with nature, regulating temperature, and reducing air pollution.
That is why cities support growing more trees. To put these plans into practice, many cities choose a holistic approach, taking both publicly and privately owned trees into account.
When trees grow on private land, cities can support using regulations and incentives. Learn more about how they can use regulations and incentives:

I agree with the incentives, but for regulations, I think they tend to be impossible in large cities. Not all administrations can afford to have people controlling and inspecting the conditions of trees all over a city.
