At least 160 elephants have died as drought conditions hit Zimbabwe, and with hot, dry weather likely to continue, conservationists fear there could be more deaths to come.
The elephants died between August and December last year in the 14,651 sq km Hwange national park, which is home to endangered elephants, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, giraffes and other species. At least six other elephants have recently been discovered dead outside the park in suspected poaching incidents.

This is absurd, loosing 160 elephants is not a joke, the government of Zimbabwe must get to the bottom of this and fasten preservation of wild animals.

This is so saddening, 160 is such a big number, I hope a solution has been found so as to save the rest of the animals

@princess_nel_268 The amount of bird droppings on its back shows that the elephant has been lying there for a while now.

@rashid_kamau sad. This picture shows how vulnerable the animal is despite its big size.
