Rodney Alkins's post

Barbados is 166 square miles, a small open economy with 99% solar access. We have had solar water heating for years and now more recently there has been an expansion of photovoltaic application especially for residential use. Although, this change is now happening rapidly, the governance process is being held up by political means. The government still supports fossil fuel mostly because of the economics of the situation. So even though people have being buying electrical vehicles the prices have been prohibitive, because auto dealers will lose profitability as well as the government through taxation. given there is not much EV variety available. Additionally, there is no tax credit for purchasing EV vehicles. On the other hand the government is planting 1 million trees to achieve a net zero status ( I hope I am right saying that)
