It was already 10 years ago our kids took the decision that we should never eat at Mc Donalds as they use methods to greenwash their company that was so clear even for the kids.
With the behaviour of going to court to be able to not sort waste its even more clear. To be even more on point. Were they have waste sort system. It’s fake and goes into the same trash bin. Source Expressen.

Shameless behaviour, dating 2022 and in the middle of a climate crisis.
I guess their recycling policies can differ in different countries? That would be another thing, to set general, adequate and sustainable policies for every country/region/franchiser to follow and live by.

I agree 100% and if you see the play movie about Mcdonalds history you will become even more convined. Anorher question is if you should eat fast food at all?

If they are not honest about this, what more? This changes my view upon McDonalds.

This is so bad for such a global food outlet. They ought to step up and be realistic on waste management.

This is very upsetting. From the article:
The restaurants have then created an "illusion" of sorting rubbish through the familiar rubbish stations with sorting holes - which in these cases have been shown to lead down to one and the same rubbish bag.
But McDonald's not only ignores the recycling that they claim to protect - but has also tried the case in several courts to avoid being covered by the statutory requirements for sorting and recycling of packaging materials.

Such behaviors should be exposed and the community to take action... I also support stop eating MC Donalds if they don't change

What! They actually create the illusion of customers sorting the thrash and then it all ends up in the same bin. This is so bad.
