BORROW A LEAF FROM U.S.A PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN ON MATTERS TACKLING THE CLIMATE CRISIS TOO...

It takes the whole world to mend the whole world.. bilateral ties and enhanced cohesion between nations have depicted that well built relationships strengthen economies and a lot more. Biden is quite abreast with matters climate change since he stepped into Office less than an year ago by constituting & implementing laws and policies that're geared towards combating the climate crisis as demanded during this very determining decade in pursuit of climate sobriety on planet Earth 🌎. Kenya has earned and enjoyed a superb relationship with USA for decades now but with the stepping in of a more distinct and outrightly committed president who has put the best interests of mother nature first forward, there's more to learn and borrow from him as how Kenya should too be committed towards fighting the climate crisis boldly, rigorously and fast enough. It's undoubted that state leaders play a crucial and immeasurable role in shaping up a state and for Biden's sheer commitment to charging the bull by the horns, his new energy is worth borrowing from. The state visit last week must have yielded and strengthened so much but it'ld be my delight to learn that climate justice matters were part of the deliberations(just hope that's so) and it's my hope and trust that my very noble president Uhuru Kenyatta will highly consider fostering climate justice laws and policies into his agenda's regardless of the little the time he's got left in office. With power, statue and influence, it's time to lead by example the rest of the leaders in the country such as the mps, senators, governors, women reps, members of county assembly among others who are in office as well creating a paradigm shift in the manner of creating political agendas for the people right from the grassroot levels to the very high office Post. The shift if upheld by the very many others vying for leadership posts in next year's general elections to create their agendas around averting climate change will form a very strong and concrete basis of so much more including stability of country's economy as well as instilling the spirit of tackling the climate crisis to the citizens in one accord. One of the notable & remarkable strides by individuals and heads of organizations spearheading the influence and exerting pressure on leaders on climate change is We Don't Have Time CEO Ingmar Rentzhog who a week ago addressed 30 Swedish parliamentarians on an talk dubbed "Climate education for Mps." https://www.linkedin.com/posts/rentzhog_snart-live-klimatutbildning-f%C3%B6r-riksdagsledam%C3%B6ter-activity-6853291679617687552-TeXk On my part as an advocate for climate change reforms,I took a strong and bold stand on Sunday-10/10/2021 on a morning show hosted by Patrick Mutheki at Sawanga FM(a local radio station in Laikipia county) which has a wider reach by encouraging the political leaders to incorporate climate change talks, education, awareness and sensitization as the main agendas in their manifestos as they seek office in next year's general elections. SOME OF THE MEASURES TO COMBATING CLIMATE CHANGE INCLUDE: *Embracing renewable energy. *Making ecocide a law. *Divesting fossil fuels. *Educating and sensitizing the citizens on climate change. *Incorporating climate change as a subject into the school curriculum. *Adopting electric mobility. *Ban on plastics. *Enactment of strict laws on waste management. *Encouraging planting of trees on both private & public spaces. *Education & sensitization on carbon credits/offset programs. The US administration's understanding of the implications of climate change on the economy. Sick of hearing talks, lets act now asap and move the timeline. Start by allowing all homes to have solar, or finding another solution.
