The Guardian recently published an article about Solar Foods, a Finnish startup that specializes in making protein from “air and sun”. Chocolate ice cream and bars flavored with “solar protein” (sonein) are already being sold in Singapore. And in 2025, the company is awaiting regulatory approval to enter the #US and #EU markets.
A logical question arises: why haven't the international organizations that are supposed to fight the problem of #hunger stepped up so far? Why are they not making massive efforts to license this #technology as soon as possible in Africa and other territories experiencing acute food shortages?
