We need more green buildings and environmental friendly architectural design in the world. It's true that as the world's population grows more land is cleared to pave way for construction of infrastructure. Cutting down of trees to make construction land contributes to the climate crises being experienced presently but if we invest more on green buildings and environmental friendly architectural design such as the one in the short clip we can make a huge difference in curbing the climate crises in the world. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CVipxCsA4PV/?utm_medium=copy_link

Minister of State for Environment, Chief Sharon Ikeazor, has officially flagged off ‘Nigeria’s Decarbonization Project’, DPP. Ikeazor also declared open an inception workshop for the DPP in Abuja. DPP is a national research and capacity building project for the implementation of a Deep Decarbonization Pathway Programme (DDPP) in Nigeria. The project is a collaboration project between the Federal Ministry of Environment, Nigeria and the Agence Française de Dévelopment (AFD) with the International Relation and Sustainable Development Institute (IDDRI), as the Programme Coordinator. Speaking at the launching, Ikeazor, explained that the decarbonization of the global economy has long been recognized as an imperative in the fight against climate change. “The Nigeria Deep Decarbonization Project is therefore a very important component in our effort to navigate Nigeria and the global world over the harsh and unpleasant risks of climate change,” she said. According to the Environment Minister, the Federal Government has made several climate change interventions intended to mitigate climate change and increase resilience to avert the excruciating consequences of climate change. Ikeazor, revealed that the Federal Government recently submitted its revised and robust Nationally Determined Contributions that articulate climate actions until 2030 in response to Article 4.2 of the Paris Agreement. “The Federal Ministry of Environment also formulated Nigeria Decarbonisation Transition Plan, which enumerated pathways for Nigeria to achieve net-zero by 2050. “The Nigerian government’s effort to transit to a low-emission economy was also echoed in all the discussions that the Federal Government of Nigeria was involved in at the COP26,” she said. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dycibBzK #climatechange #sustainabledevelopment #environment #nigeria #Africa

In 2019 during my National Youth Service year. One faithful day while I was coming from the place of my primary assignment, it rained heavily leading to a heavy flood and I noticed a large collection of plastic waste blocking the waterways, spilling over and littering the highway, it was an eyesore, my desire to prevent and stop plastic pollution led to the research which birthed Envopatch Recycling. Envopatch Recycling is a waste management and recycling organization registered under Cooperate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (CAC). Located at the heart of Owerri Imo State. Our goal is to recover and recycle Post consumable plastic materials so as to create a clean and sustainable environment. To achieve this we introduce an incentivized recycling program, where citizens will receive cash reward for every recyclable waste sorted from source. We also enter into partnership with hotels, bars, event centers and water production companies on a project tagged; "Operation recover from source" this is to recover every recyclable waste from the points it was generated so as to stop them from ending up in the landfill, drainages and marine environment. The perceived challenge in waste management led to the need for smart and rewarding way of encouraging users to dispose waste appropriately through an easy to use technology-driven automated and incentivized system. It was established that the social behaviour of citizens can be improved by introducing smart incentives as the motivation for appropriate waste management. With the incentivized recycling program recyclables will no longer go into drainages leading to flooding and unhealthy atmosphere, recyclables will no longer be burnt as practices in some places polluting the environment, and recyclables will no longer occupy landfills spaces. Our vision is “To get everyone involve in the fight against plastic pollution and indiscriminate waste disposal so as to create a clean and Sustainable environment. With the effective hands of team ENVOPATCH RECYCLING, corporate partnerships and community co-operation we can achieve this vision. MISSION STATEMENT: “To provide informative solutions with value for a Clean and sustainable environment via advocacy, recycling, education, capacity-building and environmental sustainability projects”. CORE VALUE: Sustainability Other values include; Innovation Community Recycling Solution Goal oriented ENVOPATCH RECYCLING as a social enterprise is geared at giving back to the society, maintaining a healthy environment, improving environmental sustainability, creating value through waste and well-being of people, while providing support via our little quota. PROBLEM STATEMENT Despite advances in global municipal solid waste management and new trends in universal municipal solid waste management, there is a gap between the low-economic class of the people and the municipal solid waste management system, this class makes up a wide population yet to be reached. Most of these people have poor waste management behaviour and they blame it on “the government”. GOAL: To recover and recycle post consumables plastic materials so as to create a clean and sustainable environment. OBJECTIVES: To get everyone involved in the fight against plastic waste and indiscriminate waste disposal through recycling, education and public awareness. To increase awareness on issues of waste management and inculcating the mentality of maintaining a clean and safe environment among individuals of all ages and sex. To educate the society the need for recycling of plastic waste, thereby benefit from the value attached to it. To reduce the input of plastic to landfill. To stop incineration thereby reduce, air pollution and carbon footprints. To raise an army of environmental responsible citizens. To increase environment sustainability which will bring new opportunities for innovation and job creation, in line with the objectives of the united nation sustainable development goals. Raising public awareness about plastic pollution and sensitization towards environmental cleanliness. To restore the glory of Imo state as a clean and greener state. To promote approaches to reduce inputs into marine environment. To encourage and motivate Nigerians to recycle and make the country a better ecological place. However, this project is totally beneficial to our society, economy and environment. WHAT YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE BY COLLABORATING WITH ENVOPATCH RECYCLING. By collaborating with ENVOPATCH RECYCLING to achieve her goal, aims & objectives, you are: Strengthening and implementing partnerships for the sustainable development Goals of which we believe we aim to achieve similar: Goal 1(No Poverty), Goal 2(Zero Hunger), Goal 3(Good Health and Wellbeing), Goal 6(Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7(Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 8(Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 11(Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 12(Sustainable Consumption and Production), Goal 13(Climate Action), Goal 14(Life Below Water), and Goal 15(Life On Land). Enriching & empowering more audience/ beneficiaries. Increasing the services you can provide at community outreaches with our joint effort. To support the fight against plastic pollution and indiscriminate waste disposal. To restore the glory of Imo state as a clean and greener state. Contributing to the economic growth and job creation. Creating appropriate avenue for our organisational volunteers to be motivated and network. Building community trust and co-operation. Promoting the campaign for a cleaner safe neighbourhood. CONCLUSION: The menace of plastic pollution endangers not only the environment but the general well-being, because for every plastic you dump indiscriminately litters the environment and block the drainage system which leads to flooding and breeding grounds of diseases. In conclusion we believe we can change the world by changing the lives of those around us. We therefore hope you can help us achieve a greater & more sustainable community through your collaboration. Thanks. EZERIBE HOPE NDUBUISI

Alpha Fruits and Food production is a unique idea tailored at cultivating and distributing fruits and food that are naturally grown with natural or organic manure without destroying the Natural eco-system or climate. Fruits and food and very essentials to life and each passing second, some one is consuming fruit of food, but the question is, how safe is that fruit or food to our natural environment and Health? I came up with this idea of Alpha fruit and food production that are safe to our health and environment in 2020 after a thorough thinking about man and the environment. when the world was created, Fruits and food grew natural with no chemical and there was no sick or disease because the environment was so friendly to the Fruits and and Food, but when man came up with idea of chemical to facilitate the growth of Fruits and food crops, diseases and destruction of the climate set in. To achieve the above idea, one need to use effective microorganism (EM) to cultivate fruits and food crops that will grow under natural circumstances without causing destruction to the Environment. I plan to cultivate two Hectares of fruit and food crop such as Water Melong and cassava every half of the year; this will give us a total of about 10,000 water melong fruit every half of the year and at least 9 to 13 tones of cassava per harvest.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Agriculture though the oldest profession even before man was created he remains under exploited. It is the gold mine that many have refused to tap into. So going into palm fruit processing is a major aspect of agriculture that has great return on investment (ROI) yet less investment both by individuals and government. It is important to note that every part of the palm fruit is valuable. That is why we have chosen to venture into it by harnessing all benefits from palm oil to palm kernel oil and even the palm kernel cake. Palm fruit is a rich source of vitamin A, which is required by every members of the house hold. Our intention is to build the brand that will take over a large market share by serving the various segment of the economy that uses the numerous products that comes from palm fruit. The huge population of Nigeria is a great advantage to the success of our business, for instance there is no house hold in Nigeria that does not use one product or the other that is manufactured with palm oil product as a bye product. With this, we intend to create employment, economic stability, raw materials and even foreign earns to the economy. We will explore the favorable governmental policies and also do better than our competitors. We will make use of the strength and opportunities available to overcome our weaknesses and threat. Becoming the number one choice in the industry is our target although we are still at the ideal stage. INTRODUCTION Overview The ideal of this business was born after considering the numerous needs that palm oil product serve and the huge income/revenue that accrue to it. Although we are still on ideal stage, we have done feasibility studies to ascertain the viability or otherwise. VISION STATEMENT We desire to become among the top five in the industry in the next 3years and the most preferred in the industry in the next 5years. MISSION STATEMENT Providing healthy and quality product to every door step and at an affordable price. OBJECTIVES Our aim is not just to start a business as others but our realizable targets are our driving force. To provide healthy product without compromising qualities that will be recognized as the best in the market. To take our business to a level that it will have presence in every region of the country. To capture in the first instance a huge segment of the economy, thereby increasing our market share. To increase turnover to a level that profitability will be granted at all times. To become the preferred brand in the market. VALUE PROPOSITION Some of the key values we intend to deliver to our customers include but not limited to the following. Always available in the market to eliminate scarcity and hurdling. Affordable price to all customers. Healthy product with all the vitamins intact Enhance efficiency in production especially to our customers who will use our product as raw materials. THE PRODUCT The palm tree is one tree that has unlimited usefulness and the palm fruit has so much economic benefits even more than crude oil. Therefore our business is to utilize all that is in the palm fruit. After the feasibility study, we are well determined to go into the business. The processing of palm fruit from start to finish which entails extracting the palm oil from the palm fruits, crushing the palm nut to get the palm kernel oil (PKO) and palm kernel cake (PKC) as well. All these and more are loaded in every palm fruit you pick from the ground. Our products are: Palm oil: this is the reddish liquid that comes from the palm fruit and rich in vitamin A, every house hold uses it for cooking, also in the form of cream or soap. So these product will serve a vast segment of the economy both individuals and organizations. Palm kernel oil (PKO) this oil come from crushing the kernel. It is a rich antioxidant agent that contains vitamin E. this explains why it is highly demanded by cosmetics industries. Even in its crude nature mothers use it as baby cream. It is even more expensive than palm oil; it is widely used in baking product. Palm kernel cake (PKC): this product is a high fiber but medium grade protein for livestock feed, it is obtain when you crush the kernel and extracted the PKO. It is use in producing animal feed supplement, like pig and poultry. INDUSTRY AND MARKET ANALYSIS The business of palm product processing falls in the ever green sector of agriculture which is largely untapped to due to poor perception of agriculture in our society. There are some key peculiarities that make this industry viable. Widely used by both individuals and industries In short supply due to few players which give room to growth Exportable product Available raw materials (Palm fruits) In recent times, the government has place ban on importation of product that could be manufactured locally. This policy is a big boost for this industry to grow. We have identified the market to serve and we are starting with Nigerian market which is large enough. We have also identify some of the major competitors already in the industry like Okomu oil Ltd and Siat Nig Ltd. Both have palm plantations and mills. Considering the huge population of Nigeria and the vast use of palm produce, the market size estimated to be in the range of $5billon to $15billion per annum and we intend to get about 40% of this market in the next 3years. THE DIFFERENT CUSTOMER GROUPS WE IDENTIFIED INCLUDES: Cosmetic industry Baking industry Food processing industry House hold Potential growth in this industry is inestimable. Daily consumption palm products are on the increase. COMPETITION Our major competitors in this industry are Okomu oil limited Sait Nig Limited. Both are producing palm oil product in large scale and their product are easily notice in the market. One of the competitive advantages is that they have been in the market over timethem ready and cheap input. Their primary focus is serving or supplying raw materials to other industries like cosmetics, baking etc. As new entrant, producing our product and making them available even sachet to customers will enhance our profitability. The hurdle to overcome as new entrant is medium. Some of which are pricing to penetrate the market and acceptability by our prospective customers who already have choice but our superior packaging will make us stand out and ensure preference and customer loyalty. SWOT ANALYSIS STRENGTH Good management, experience and qualified staff Good funding and credit Quality and healthy product Superior and brilliant packaging Technical support from partners WEAKNESS Untested product Low level of acceptability OPPORTUNITIES Conducive environment Proximity to market Favorable economic policies Modern processing equipment THREAT Inadequate supply of palm fruits Unstable government policies Smugglers We will ensure we maximize our strength and opportunities as a competitive advantage. OPERATIONAL PLANS Going by the current economic policies on agricultural production in Nigeria, there is no license or permit required to operate a palm product processing business in Nigeria. Some of the material resources required for the operation includes Raw materials: the major raw material needed in this business is the palm fruit. This material is sourced from the south-south and south-east state of Nigeria. There are so many ways of getting this material namely direct purchase from farmers, suppliers agents or by out sourcing. We chose direct purchase because it is easier and gives us direct access to farmers. Physical asset: here we have the facilities (land, structures and offices), equipment for production and processing of our palm product. Also the vehicles for in bound and out bound deliveries. All we acquire through direct purchases. We understand that the customers are the key reason we are in business therefore we treat them accordingly by supplying to them. But customers that come to the factory are given some level of discount. MARKETING PLAN The advent or availability of the internet and social media platform are ready tools for reaching our target market. As a new entrant, we will use radio and television for 6months in the first instance. We will also explore the ideal of opening an outlet where our customers/wholesalers can easily reach us. Printing of hand bills or banners will be used also. Our product will be packaged in plastic containers and sachet with our labels and logo on them which will be quantified and sold in liters. To attract more customers and increase market share we would do promo and give discount for large purchase, customer loyalty will be maintain through quality and integrity. MANAGEMENT All staffs are people of proven track record in their respective discipline or in similar /related fields with a minimum of 3years working experience. FINANCIAL PLAN Cost estimations and projections: Cost of facilities and operations Land acquisition: N12m Facility – building/structure : N9.7m Generator/power plant :N.8m Vehicles: N4.3m Expeller 1.5m Toaster: N.6m Storage tank :N.3m Installation :N.25m FINANCING It is important to state here palm oil processing business requires huge capital to start. This business requires about N40million($100,000) to start up.This will enable us to acquire the remaining equipment that is not on ground yet and as well as the initial stock for production. We are looking for partnership or grants, because we want to provide the products at a highly reduced price to the customers. •
133 w
It's still in idea stage
Our idea is waste recycling which involves the refurbishment of waste products or materials to create new and useful products to generate income and employment for the youths as there are so much wastes in Abia State Nigeria blocking drainage and making the state dirty and to control environmental pollution which has caused a lot of health hazards to people living in the towns and urban areas as the state is generating about 100,000 tonnes of waste annually. Waste items to be recycled include plastic wastes such as water bottles, plastic bags, rubber bags, plastic wrappers, paper wastes, polythene materials, biodegradable and perishable wastes. Our model has four channels which includes; 1. Keep waste bins at different locations of the state (towns and urban areas) to collect wastes that have been sorted by placing different waste bins with name tag of each waste. 2. Recycle plastic wastes into semi-processed raw materials for plastic manufacturers and industries. 3. Recycle LDPE (Low - density polyethylene and HDPE (High - density polyethylene) into plastic resins or pellets. 4. Recycle biodegradable and perishable wastes into organic manure and fertilizer. We will also sell paper wastes to paper mills and producers and materials like used beverage cans to local smelters who produce pots, pans, forks and farming utensils. We will obtain or procure injection mould machines to produce or manufacture plastic wares.

Apple ( malus domestica) a fruit enjoyed by Africans and Nigerians does not come cheap as it is expensive to purchase, neither has it been grown in Nigeria or most part of Africa due to climate and adaptability factors, and poor knowledge of engagement. In 2018 Nigeria imported 51,200 metric tonnes of apple worth $29.7 million making us the 47th highest importer of apple in the world. At proto premium agribusiness services (PPAS) we solve this problem by growing this Apple with our model technology that enable us nurture it at it's frigile state, making it adaptable to the climate condition during it growth and maturity stages. BUSINESS PROCESS We first extract the seeds from the golden green apples, and they undergo a technological sprouting which take 7 days, then planted in a temperature regulated sprouting enclosure during the nursery stages, then transferred to adaptation stages and finally they are transplanted to their new site, or sold to tree buyers. MARKET OPPORTUNITY Africa's apple market is worth $3.2 billion (foa, 2019) the segmented addressable market ((SAM) is 180.3 million customers while the segmented obtainable market (SOM) is 30.2 million customers. We intend to market the the fruit to major Apple importers directly, then fruit juice and wine producing companies in Nigeria and southern African countries. We shall also market wholesale marketers directly in a targeted marketing. To gain market entry for the trees we shall use social media especially Facebook and Instagram. We shall organize tree planting campaign targeted towards the elite in the society to sponsor the initiative while we contribute in cost production. We shall provide nurturing services to customers online or offline who buy the trees, thereby helping to sustain our market, increasing recommendation and referral for us. BUSINESS FORECASTING AND PLANNING We started off by carrying out a 1 year and 8 months experiment and that is from seed development (sprouting) to flowering and seed production, with results coming out positively for the time allotted to it. We then proceeded to the university of Agriculture, umudike, Abia state, Nigeria to carry out a control test to ensure our hypothesis were according to standard which also came out positively, from where we were given an advisory board for the expansion of the project into business scale population. Our business is registered with the cooperate affairs commission. BUSINESS ANALYSIS SWOT ANALYSIS With our level of experience home and abroad in making plant adaptable to different climate condition, and the lapses in knowledge around this in Nigeria and Africa at large, it gives us the opportunity and strenght to thrive, while failure of some sprouted seeds to develop may pose challenges. RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS To make this possible, we would need a deep freezer, apple grading machine, pruning machine, temperature growing bags, sprouting dishes and a 2.5kva generator. We will also need the services of daily care givers for a year and rent for sprouting apartment. We will also look to lease a land for plantation for 20 years minimum. This will give us a total cost of $24,610. The major drive that increased the cost is the amount needed to lease the land for 20 years. The remaining funds will be gotten from an investment firm.

About Your Business- The avocado fruit is readily available in the country; it is mainly sold in the market for direct consumption of the flesh. In many places where the tree grows, about 50% of this fruit are left to fall and rot away when there is no desire to eat the flesh (pulp) constituting wastage of this economic fruit. To avoid this wastage, it becomes imperative that we develop an industry that harness this available raw material and process it into a more valuable product. At Oily-Essence Processing company, we are creating a market for avocados farmer and providing premium tasteful avocado oil for high end consumer. Our philosophy is manufacturing our oil from our resource taking extreme care of each and every detail, thereby promoting made in Nigeria Products. BUSINESS PROCESS Features & Functionalities- Oily Essence, will operate a standard essential oil extraction and processing company whose product will introduce Nigeria homes to a new marginal edible oil for culinary and cosmetics use. We are in the essential oil extraction business to produce a variety of essential and edible oils extracted from plants ( Avocado extra-virgin and refined oil, Ginger oil, Lemon Grass oil, Black Pepper oil, citrus oil and Sesame oil). The products are extracted by steam distillation, resin tapping, cold pressing and packaged for sale in commercial quantities for retail outlets, cosmetics, food and fragrance businesses, and massage and aromatherapy businesses. The manufacturing process involves raw material sourcing, weighing the material for processing. Then, extracting the oil through cold pressing and steam distillation, forcing the tiny pores that hold the essential oils to open and release them. Then, separating the oil from oil water and solids, and suitably packaged for the market. Pricing The purchase price of raw-material is the determinant of manufacturing cost and resultant selling-price. The oil retails at approximately $10USD/litre. Profitability- Sales Projection: 50000 Price per Product: $10USD/litre (#4110) Market Size: 50000 * $10 = 500000 Total Cost of Production Raw Material: $5 * 50000 = $250000 Operational cost/Expenses: $1000 $250000 + $100000 = $350000 Net Income: $500000 - $350000 = $150000 Profit Margin: 150000/500000 * 100 = 30% MARKET OPPORTUNITY Target Audience/Customers- The global cold-press oil market peaked at $ 24.62 billion in 2018, exhibiting a CAGR of 5.3% in the forecast period 2019-2026 projected to reach $36.40 billion Marketing & Sales- Your Marketing Plan Oily-Essence Essential Oil Processing Company, will adopt the following marketing and sale approach to sell our essential oil; Introduce our essential oil brand by sending introductory letters to manufacturing companies that make use of essential oil, convenience stores, online retail, essential oil merchants and its stakeholders in Nigeria Engage in roadshows and funfair in targeted communities to sell our products Advertise our products in community – based newspapers, TV and radio stations List our business and products on local directories and leverage on internet Effectively manage our client base (consumer, investors and agent) Use of referrals offer call-in and online ordering. BUSINESS ANALYSIS SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats)- The versatility of the management allows Oily-essence to grow from scratch, to becoming a national phenomenon. While taking the advantage of the abundance of raw material. Incapability of leveraging on economies of scale. Inconsistence of plant supply and bargaining power. Progressing, oily-essence will thrive on organization and technology. YOUR NEEDS Resource Requirements- At this stage in business, Oily-Essence requires the construction of a standard essential oil extraction and processing plant, start-up inventory- raw materials, drums and packaging bottles, operational costs for the first three month – salaries of employees and other utilities, purchase of essential oil extracting and packaging machine, store equipment (cash register, security, ventilation, signage) purchase of gadget and electronics and launching a website for and product promotion. Building a Team Oily-Essence aim at competing favourably with the imported brand. In view of that, we know that building a profound and competent team is paramount. Therefore, the team consist of an advisor, an all-time employee of a company and business consultant. The CEO (myself) develops and implements the overall strategy. Our members include the production manager overseeing the running of the extraction and processing plant. inventory Resources and Administrative manager overseeing the daily office and factory activities. Financial manager, customer service specialists and Sales and Marketing Manager, who is an advocate for customer needs. YOUR PLANS Business Forecasting and Planning- Avocado oil is still a growing market. Oily-Essence will host seminars in market and corporate settings to inform consumer of its benefit. Also, farm supplies will be sourced locally to support Nigeria’s avocado farmers to maximize profits by offering an affordable means and technology for processing avocado into oil and creating the appropriate distribution structure. Ila-Orangun will be the proof of concept once the production is settled and the oil are being sold. Our next step will be replicating the business model, creating synergies among the different processing centers by optimizing resources and capacities while sharing the same distribution chain and market linkages. Our major suppliers are smallholder farmers who aren’t merely part of the project, but the entire motivation for its existence. Purchase of the supplies is on a fair trade for both sides. As Oily-Essence grows and adds suppliers, we will gain bargaining-power and create economies of scale. What are the next steps for your business? In the next two years in business, Oily-Essence will accomplish a growth at 20% with the expectation that we partner with small and large suppliers at the beginning of operation. As a new product start-up, we expect that it will take time to grow our customer base so that it is at a sustainable level. Sales and Net profit are forecasted to be $750000 and 35% in year two rising to $1000000 and 40% in year three. Hire a Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Associate who oversees quality parameters, and oversight of analytical testing performed in operations control rooms. Aid with FSQR Supervisor, process pre-shipment review and product clearances which will propel Oily-Essence to getting certified by NAFDAC and other food quality regulatory bodies. Purchase of re-processor for waste, turning avocado seeds into fine powder used for infusions with healthy and medicinal properties.

Waste for Value Project Phase 1 (W4VP-1) came up when the leader (Miss. Wokocha Diana) realised the manner in which the environment is being degraded rapidly with solid waste, and his high concern about it hazardous impact on the health of the people and the climate. Community drainages are also choked with refuse and gets flooded at the lightest downpour. Population is also growing at a very fast rate and there is a correspondent generation of huge tons of waste daily. Due to high unemployment rate, people are living under poor conditions. W4VP-1 however, seeks to help solve these problems by creating employment through a circular economy module; i.e buying of solid waste (plastics, scrap metals and car tires), and biodegradables from individual collectors, segregate them and sell to existing waste management companies to recycle and/ or process into new materials. We plan to expand to attain the capacity to process waste plastics and car tires into residual fuel oil (RFO) in the future. BUSINESS PROCESS Features & Functionalities The business readdresses the problem on grounds to be all engaging, i.e to create a system where the people in the communities will set themselves up to mitigate the strand of poverty while protecting the environment. Through this system, we will be able to buy any form of solid waste and segregate them out to be sold. Most waste management companies have targeted some specific waste materials (particular types of waste materials) which they collect/ buy leaving a lot of waste remaining in the ecosystem which still cause nuisance, i.e problem not wholly solved. We at W4VP-1 aims at creating value from all forms of waste materials except liquid and gas. In the future we will also process waste plastics and scrapped vehicle tires into RFO; a low grade petroleum product used as a fuel oil in industrial burners and boilers and also added to bitumen for various bitumen products. W4VP-1 will set up zones in communities to enhance waste collection. Zones will be marked on schedule so that waste pickers and individual homes will not miss the time for collection. In the future more value will be added to our RFO i.e the RFO will be more refined. Pricing Waste plastics, scrapped metals and biodegradables will sell at $ 0.3 (GhC 1.74), $ 0.45 (GhC 2.60) and $ 0.26 (GhC 1.50) per kilogram respectively. Factors such as the distance, and segregation may affect the selling prices . PLANS Business Forecasting and Planning W4VP-1 is now at a post – pilot stage; some few households have been used to mimic the proposed module to confirm the feasibility of the business. In an interaction with some people, we found out that people are interested in segregating/ sorting their waste, but concerns raised were that, waste collection companies collect them and add all up in one truck even when they separate their waste in different bins, and so they don’t see the need to sort/ separate/ segregate. W4VP-1 bet to differ; we will encourage the communities to separate for us by given our subscribers substantial discounts on subscription fees. We will then sell the sorted waste materials; plastics, metals and organic waste to plastic recyclers, metal processing and the composting/ fertilizer companies respectively. What are the next steps for your business? Upon commencing operations in our immediate community, we are promised with our flagship system of “creating wealth from any form and kind of waste material”, to extend to farther communities and make a remarkable impact in the waste collection business by the 3rd quarter. We will be able to break even in about one and a half year to the 2nd year. This is because our module has a very low cost of operation. Due to the government’s effort to make our cities clean, waste recycling and processing have become a very promising venture and hence there is an accommodating market to thrive in. In two years, we hope to make over $ 5,000 (GhC 28,900; $1: GhC 5.79) and a targeted profit of about 10% on the initial investment. We will also expand our operations and plan to partner other firms to obtain the financial muscles to start the 2nd phase of the project to convert waste plastics and scrap vehicle tyres into residual fuel oil.

We will deploy to every city in Africa and connect to every home with uninterrupted power supply. People living in the rural areas with climatic weather condition of above 20degrees will enjoy completely free uninterrupted power supply while people living in area with below 20degrees will only pay a monthly subscription and enjoy unlimited power supply. First Smart Solar Initiative is for homes, businesses and organisations in both urban and rural areas across all African Countries. We produce and install solar systems digitalized with IoT technology in order regulate usage remotely and to ensure 24/7 availability of uninterrupted electricity supply. Steps to setup Step one: Site Inspection. We send our field engineers to survey the area in order to determine the climatic condition of the area as well as the level of power consumption from homes and businesses. Step two: Feasibility study of the area. The report of the survey from our field engineers will determine the capacity of solar systems that will be deployed in the area. For instance, in areas with weather temperature of above 20 degrees and electricity consumption in every home is above 7.5KVA, we will build a digital solar plant that will distribute electricity to every home and businesses in the area. We will make use of underground wiring to prevent abuse and ensure the safety of lives of people living in the area. If the analysis shows that electricity consumption in every home is below 7.5KVA, we will install a solar generator in every home with extra solar panel and batteries. Step three: Installation and Maintenance After determining the requirements, our engineers will set out to install the systems and setup a portal for the IoT technology. With the IoT technology, we can monitor and regulate usage remotely from our office to ensure the system does not down at any time.

Let's share some interesting insights about our Sports for Climate Initiative. At Afrigod, we strongly believe that the Sports for Climate movement has both the opportunity and duty to actively contribute to the global sustainability vision of building a healthy environment and a clean climate through sports. As humans, we often underlook how effective sports games like football with a fanbase of about 4 billion people can contribute greatly towards a good cause like the climate movement. But fortunately, Afrigod is gradually and strategically connecting the climate movement with sports like football, basketball, volleyball, cycling and more to prove that we can greatly achieve a sustainable climate and future via sports. In summary, we are building one of the largest eco-friendly Sport movements, called the #SportsforClimate movement and everyone is welcome to be part of it even you. We already have over 18 registered local clubs and more than 1000 dedicated fans already.
